So Toughman has only 6 more
scheduled fights for the 2005 year.
Are they to trying to avoid
any more deaths by reducing the number of fights from 65 to 6? After
all 5 deaths in less than 3 years shows there is a problem.
Toughman has not held any fights in
the past couple of months as well. For me that is good news. It is
my opinion that when a company knowingly has been involved in causing
deaths should not be doing business.
Note to all States without
legislation:
Your state needs legislation to
protect fighters. Those states that do not have protection are just
allowing promoters to profit at the expense of the fighters.
If it were up to me I'd pay the referees, the doctors and the judges not
just pay them with a very small fee and t-shirt.
Compare Boxing to the 1900
Currently boxing is like the
old coal miners at the turn of the century. Coal miners were at the
whim of the corporate operators with nonexistent physical protections
until enough good people realized the conditions. When enough death
has been caused did these good people finally act. Boxing needs
change not more deaths, so don't let the boxers be abused, bring change. |
