IACS Governance Structure
1. General Assembly:
o The highest decision-making
body, comprising Founder Members, Council, National,
International, and Associate Federations, and Honorary/Nominated
Members.
o The General Assembly
oversees the strategic direction and key decisions of IACS.
2. Executive Council:
o The administrative arm of
IACS, elected by the General Assembly, responsible for making decisions in line
with the statute.
3. National
Director/Association (NACS):
o National bodies that
represent each country in IACS. NACS can vote in the General Assembly if they
have been active members for the last two years.
4. International Federation
(IMAO):
o The official body
representing martial arts organizations at an international level. IMAO can
vote if they have been active members for the last two years.
5. Associate Members:
o While they don't have
voting rights in the General Assembly, they are allowed to attend and offer
suggestions.
6. Nominated/Honorary Members:
o Individuals nominated by
the Executive Council for their contributions to the development of IACS. They
don't have voting rights.
Academic Institution (ICMAER)
- International Centre of Martial
Arts Education and Research (ICMAER), which is proposed to become the World
Martial Arts University, serves as the academic body of IACS.
- Associated with the National
Council of Sports Science and Physical Education (NCSPE), ICMAER aims
to:
- Promote martial arts education,
research, and scientific training programs.
- Foster self-defense training,
fitness, and the publication of related literature.
- Organize national and
international conventions, conferences, and seminars on martial arts.
- Provide formal education through
regular, distance, and online training.
- Offer degree programs in martial
arts and affiliate schools promoting martial arts education and training.
